Employers can increase job survival rate by using inside sources.

An Ohio State University study found that companies could increase their job survival rate by 25% or more if they focus on finding new workers through inside sources, such as re-recruiting former employees, referrals by current employees and internal job postings.
The key to asking for referrals is to narrow the pool. Don’t just ask if they know someone, be more specific.
“Do you know someone in your church group, neighborhood, or the last place where you worked?”
Also ask them if they know someone who might know of someone like their spouse, roommate or a friend.
