4 Sons’ lighting upgrade will save thousands while attracting business.
With the cost of electricity, it is no surprise that lighting a store can become costly, and on top of that cost comes maintenance costs, because lights don’t last forever. Maybe funding lighting for one store isn’t such a daunting task’ but for 4 Sons and its 40 locations, there was a lot of lighting to fund.

Faced with this dilemma, Eric Seitz, owner of 4 Sons Food Stores Inc., looked to Cree LED lighting for a solution.
According to a whitepaper released by Cree, the companies collaborated and developed a lighting plan that did not require alterations of 4 Sons current lighting plans and would also be highly cost effective, allowing the chain to upgrade 2-3 locations per month.
This lighting solution will yield a number of benefits for 4 Sons. Energy costs have been reduced by $1,500 or more per location per month, as well as saving thousands of dollars annually due to the LED lighting being virtually maintenance-free for up to 10 years. In addition to saving money, the lighting improves the look of the store, making colors pop, and the brightness gives customers a sense of security late at night. The stores now stand out in the night, and present a comforting, safe atmosphere for customers.
