The store openings were celebrated with fun games, food, drinks and prize giveaways, along with free coffee for a limited time at the new locations.
On July 30, the new Burnham, Pa. location held a ribbon cutting ceremony and opened its doors to the public at 11 a.m., and employees at the Huntingdon, Pa. location cut the ribbon and opened its doors at 2 p.m. Together the employees, locals and county officials celebrated the grand openings at 101 North Logan Blvd in Burnham, Pa. and 9894 Shaner Boulevard in Huntingdon, Pa.
“The opening of two new stores shows our continuous growth company wide in Pennsylvania,” stated Ryan Sheetz. “These new locations will be a great addition to the Mifflin County, Pa. area along with the Huntingdon County, Pa. area, where we are extremely thrilled to be a part of each respected community.”

While new store openings are a time for the local community to come and be involved, it is also a time Sheetz likes to give back to the local community. Sheetz has been a proud supporter of Special Olympics for over 20 years, through financial, product and event volunteer support. During the grand openings Sheetz donated $2,500 to Special Olympics Pennsylvania at each stores’ celebration. Sheetz also made another check presentation of $1,000 to the Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful organization at the Huntingdon store opening.
Sheetz commits itself to serving the surrounding communities of each store. Sheetz For the Kidz is an annual holiday event that has provided over 85,000 underprivileged children with new toys, clothes and necessities each holiday season since 1992. Sheetz also partners with Make-A-Wish Foundation, sending over 40 families with seriously ill children on a dream vacation to Disney World each year.
The new Sheetz stores are to be open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year and will offer fresh foods like Angus beef burgers, premium grilled chicken sandwiches, freshly made salads, French fries, Wisconsin cheese balls and more! The new stores also feature MTGo! items, which include already made sandwiches or wraps that make it convenient to just grab and go on the run. The Shweetz Bakery, like all other locations, will feature donuts, muffins and gourmet cookies that will go along great with signature Sheetz Bros. Coffeez. The bakery is staffed with a trained barista to meet customers’ needs of smoothies and specialty drinks like mochas, lattes and cappuccinos — hot, frozen or iced.
