Aloha Petroleum seeks to increase its Hawaii presence.
Aloha Petroleum Ltd. has acquired the Hawaii assets of MFM Inc. Included in the acquisition are two Shell stations, two Subway restaurants and four convenience stores.
According to a report from Pacific Business News, the acquisition is set to close later this year. The newly acquired stores are expected to operate under their current respective names, for the time being.
The deal includes Shell stations in Kapaa and Kilauea, Hawaii, Subway restaurants in Kilauea and Eleele, a Shell Food Mart in Kapaa and Menehune Food Mart stores in Kliauea, Kekaha and Kapahi, reported Pacific Business News. Aloha plans to offer jobs to the current employees of the acquired stores.
This new acquisition will help to expand Aloha Petroleum, which currently operates 100 retail gas stations in Hawaii and 46 Aloha Island Mart convenience stores.
