McDonald’s all-day breakfast has caused chaos in the kitchen.
McDonald’s recently launched all-day breakfast program has not seen the success that the chain had initially expected.
According to a report from the New York Post, the new program seems to be doing more harm than good. The new menu expansion has caused foodservice to slow down, lowered average bills and caused confusion in the kitchen.
Smaller stores are facing extra difficulties, while the kitchens are packed with equipment, employees have trouble maneuvering around one another in the confusion.
In all of the confusion, efficiency has decreased, along with food quality. Customers have chosen to leave the restaurant in search of greater quality and efficiency.
Another problem the franchisees are facing is that the new, low-priced menu items are leading to lower bills on orders.
Despite all of the complaints from the chain about the problems with the menu expansion, the chain does not plan to revoke the breakfast extension any time soon, because it has been the No. 1 request from customers for quite some time.
