McDonald’s to launch new deal menu to drive sales.
In its latest attempt to bounce back, McDonald’s has announced a new initiative to drive store traffic.
According to a report from Fox News, McDonald’s has unveiled its newest replacement for the ever-popular Dollar Menu; the “McPick 2” menu. This new menu will allow customers to choose two items for $2. The items on this menu will include the McDouble, McChicken, small fries and mozzarella sticks.
The new menu, which is slated to launch on Jan. 4, received enough votes from franchisees to be added to the national menu. However, after the five-week trial run that will begin in January, the company may decide to alter the details of the offering, depending on the new menu’s success.
McDonlad’s is not the only quick-service restaurant (QSR) that is struggling to strike deals to entice customers and drive store traffic. Wendy’s and other QSR’s have also been testing new deals as well. The greatest concern within the industry is currently to offer low prices and still make money.
