VERC Enterprises has been named to Boston Business Journal’s Book of Lists as one of the region’s largest family-owned businesses.
Published in a recent edition of the Boston Business Journal, the lists provide a unique source to track the progress of local sectors and the key companies within them; ranking is based on 2014 revenue.
VERC Enterprises is a convenience store and Mobil/Gulf gasoline operator with locations throughout eastern Massachusetts and New Hampshire. It ranked 15th on the Book of Lists. The company had its beginnings nearly 40 years ago with a single car wash in Marshfield. Today it employs 224 people in Massachusetts and 238 people company-wide. VERC Enterprises is widely recognized for being a leader in hiring those with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
