Nonprofit organizations are invited to compete for a chance to win a $1,000 grant through and Enmarket Stations Facebook contest.
Nonprofit organizations in the Savannah, Ga. area are being invited by Enmarket Stations to participate in the 2016 Encourage Health Series through a facebook contest, for a chance to win a $1,000 grant.
Any Savannah, Ga. area registered 501c3 nonprofit organization whose mission is to promote healthy living, active lifestyles or nutritional education is encouraged to enter.
Organizations must simply “like” the Enmarket Facebook page and post a comment explaining why the organization should be chosen as a grant recipient. The total number of “likes” on individual posts are considered by the advisory board for the final selection.
Four nonprofit organizations are then selected to receive a grant from Encourage Health Education Sponsors. In addition, each nonprofit will be awarded an Enmarket Dollar Day, receiving $1 for every car wash, donations from Enmarket customers at the registers and charity table, as a chance to raise additional monies for their cause.
Nonprofit organizations should post during the entire month of January on https://www.facebook.com/enmarkstations. The deadline is Monday, Feb. 1, 2016 at midnight.
Once chosen, each of the four nonprofit organizations will be eligible to receive an additional $1,000 grand prize at the end of the series. The groups will receive their own QR code to be scanned with purchases at any of the 61 Enmarket stores. The nonprofit organization with the greatest total scans receives a check at the final Encourage Health presentation.
2015 marked the second year for the Enmarket Stations Encourage Health Education Series in partnership with Healthy Savannah, the Savannah Morning News, Savannah Magazine, WJCL and GPB Savannah – WSVH 91.1/WWIO 89.9. The series featured four lunchtime presentations from the area’s most respected experts sharing insights on nutrition, fitness and general tips for healthy living. The speakers for the 2016 Encourage Health Education Series are set to be announced this coming February.
