Ted Cruz reaches out to the community through the NACS In Store events program.
As a part of the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) In Store events, Republican presidential candidate from Texas, senator Ted Cruz, took a break from campaigning to spend a day working at the Casey’s convenience store in Manly, Iowa.
According to a report from Petrol Plaza, senator Cruz spent his time at Casey’s working behind the counter, meeting the community and speaking with voters on issues they raised, answering their questions and having real conversations.
Cruz is the first of the presidential candidates to take part in the In Store events of 2016, but both Democratic and Republican candidates have been invited to participate in the events to gain first-hand experience at local convenience stores.
