A fresh perspective will help Manitowoc to take advantage of new growth opportunities.
The Manitowoc Co. Inc. has announced that Andreas Weisharr is now the senior vice president of strategy, marketing & human resources for Manitowoc Foodservice Inc.
“Andreas brings a unique set of skills to Manitowoc Foodservice. He has led and implemented large-scale corporate transformations, market-entry and branding strategies and has a track record of developing high-performance teams globally. His perspective will allow our team to capture significant growth opportunities, while leveraging the strong team we already have in place. I am convinced his contributions to the team will yield significant results as we become an independent company,” commented Hubertus Muehlhaeuser, president and CEO, Manitowoc Foodservice Inc.
Weishaar spent the last 10 years at AGCO Corp. where he held various leadership positions, most recently vice president and general manager, Global Green Harvesting, comprising the company’s worldwide hay, forage and sugar business. During his tenure with the company, he led one of the major product lines, established operations and executed growth strategies in China and India, and managed multiple important strategic change and operations improvement initiatives. He began his career at Arthur D. Little, working in areas of strategy and organization, performance improvement and mergers and acquisitions.
Weishaar holds a Diplom Kaufmann from the European Business School, Germany, and studied at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Dijion, France, and the Thunderbird School of Global Management, U.S.
