McDonald’s employees still adjusting to initial all-day breakfast rollout.
After launching all-day breakfast—albeit with a limited array of items—in October, McDonald’s is now testing expanding its menu to feature all of its breakfast items all day long.
A report by Fortune noted that McDonald’s expanded breakfast menu would include items such as McGriddles and hash browns in addition to biscuits and McMuffins.
CNBC reported that the bigger menu is being tested currently in Oklahoma and North Carolina, but could expand nationwide if those tests go well.
Meanwhile, a report by Business Insider found that many McDonald’s employees aren’t loving the all-day breakfast they’re working with now. Employees took to reddit, with one explaining that the all-day breakfast “creates a lot more work for people out back in terms of preparation and cleaning but of course no more labor hours to compensate for that extra work.”
Space concerns were also an issue, as was proper grill cleaning and the changeover to lunch. Employees at stores with separate egg cookers felt more positive about the change.
