The NAG board member and president of the Jetz convenience store chain was elevated to chairman at the association’s annual conference this week in Green Bay, Wis.
The Wisconsin Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association (WPMCA) has elevated Bob O’Connor to chairman of the organization’s board of directors. O’Connor has been a member of the board for many years, serving as vice chairman in 2015.
O’Connor and his cousin, Tim Klein, own the Jetz brand in southeastern Wisconsin. Their family has been serving southeast Wisconsin and Milwaukee since 1957. Both are long-standing members of WPMCA.
“There are many important issues impacting the future of our industry,” said O’Connor, who also serves as a board member for the National Advisory Group (NAG). “The convenience store industry changes quickly. We must be ever vigilant as our business needs evolve. I’m honored to represent our members’ interests in the coming year, making sure that the decisions we make in the coming months will have a positive impact for our industry tomorrow.”
O’Connor’s appointment was made official at WPMCA’s annual conference in Green Bay, Wis. this week.
“Bob’s positive energy, hard working, can-do attitude and industry knowledge make him the perfect choice to lead our organization as we celebrate our 90th anniversary this year,” said WPMCA president and CEO Matt Hauser. “We’re looking forward to a great year that will strengthen our industry for generations to come.”
