Alimentation Couche-Tard is working to provide relief to the Canadian communities that were recently met with disaster.
The Canadian Red Cross recently appealed for help with relief efforts in Northern Alberta, Canada, and Circle K has answered the call. Circle K recently implemented a system in all of its stores across Maritimes Provinces and Newfoundland which enables customers to effortlessly make a donation of $1 or more with their transaction.
Circle K guarantees that 100 % of all donations will be given to the Canadian Red Cross to support relief efforts in Northern Alberta.
Circle K parent company Alimentation Couche-Tard has announced that it will match all customer donations up to CAD$150,000.
Additionally, founder and executive chairman of the board of directors for Couche-Tard Alain Bouchard and his wife Sandra Bouchard are making a CAD$300,000 donation from their private foundation.
Circle K is saddened by this catastrophe that has affected an entire community and hopes that its contribution will assist in the collective efforts already set up to support those affected by this disaster and to quickly rebuild communities in Fort McMurray and its surroundings.
The donation campaign has been ongoing since May 7.
