Wendy’s has introduced a tasty new salad that makes it easier and more exciting for consumers to eat healthy.
As consumers continue to search for better-for-you, convenient food options, a number of quick-service restaurants (QSRs) are rising to the challenge with new, healthier menu items. Among the QSRs that are rising to the occasion is Wendy’s, with its new Power Mediterranean Chicken Salad.
This new salad has been added to Wendy’s permanent menu lineup. All Wendy’s salads are made with fresh lettuce that is hand-chopped daily, and this new salad also features fresh red onions and grape tomatoes, along with marinated, freshly grilled chicken and crumbled feta. The salad also includes a sundried tomato grain blend with quinoa, chick peas, white beans, fire-roasted vegetables and sundried tomatoes. It’s all topped with a drizzle of creamy hummus and a light balsamic vinaigrette.
The salad accounts for 80% of the recommended daily protein, one third of the daily recommended fiber and a full day’s recommended serving of vegetables, making it easy for consumers to attain their nutrients, with just one salad.
The full-size Wendy’s Power Mediterranean Chicken Salas is priced at $6.49, while a half-size salad can be purchased for $4.49. The full-sized entrée delivers 40 grams of protein with only 450 calories.
