Parker’s continues to donate a portion of the proceeds from its fuel sales to public and private schools throughout Georgia.
On April 26, 2016, Parker’s presented a $7,500 donation check to Bulloch County Public Schools through the company’s Fueling the Community Program. The check was presented during a ceremony at Statesboro High School in Statesboro, Ga.
Jeff Bush, director of fuel management at Parker’s, presented the check to Bulloch County Schools superintendent Charles Wilson, School Board chairman Mike Herndon, School Board member Jay Cook and Statesboro High School principal Ken LeCain. Teachers and students from the Early Education Lab joined Chewy, the official Parker’s mascot, to celebrate.
“At Parker’s, we believe education has the power to transform lives and to uplift communities,” Bush said. “We’re delighted to support Bulloch County Schools through our Fueling the Community Program.”
Parker’s donates a portion of the proceeds from every gallon of gas purchased at all 44 of its convenience stores on the first Wednesday of each month to community schools. The Fueling the Community program officially launched in the fall of 2011 and donates more than $100,000 each year to public and private schools throughout Georgia and South Carolina.
