In recognition of the value that Effingham County, Ga. places on education, Parker’s had presented the schools in this community a check for $8,000.
On May 6, as a part of the company’s Fueling the Community program, during a special celebration, Parker’s presented a check for $8,000 to Bulloch County Public Schools. The check donation took place during the annual Field Day celebration at Guyton Elementary School in Guyton, Ga.
Jeff Bush, director of fuel management at Parker’s, presented the check to Guyton Elementary School principal Charlotte Connelly as well as Pre-K students and teachers, who accepted the check on behalf of the school system. This donation is part of more than $100,000 Parker’s has donated to local public and private schools throughout the 2015-2016 academic year.
“We understand the value education brings to the community in Effingham County,” said Bush. “On behalf of everyone at Parker’s, we are delighted to present a check to support teachers throughout Effingham County Schools. We are grateful for their commitment to educating the next generation.”

Parker’s operates 44 convenience stores across the region and employs 625 individuals throughout Georgia and South Carolina. The company, which completes more than 100,000 transactions daily and has 110,000 PumpPal members, is currently celebrating its 40th anniversary.
