According to a report from the Montreal Gazette, Loblaw has announced plans to engage potential buyers for its gas bar, as the company is considering a sale of the business, which is one of the largest in Canada. Loblaw’s gas bar network consists of 212 retail fuel sites that are located adjacent to grocery stores.
The Montreal Gazette reported that the gas bar network is expected to grow as the company’s grocery store network continues to grow, as the gas bar is delivering strong and stable cash flows. Loblaw is looking to create a strategic partnership to help elevate the business and to increase company value to customers.
