Burger King’s latest innovation targets Millennial and Gen Z consumers who seek “experience-driven foods.”
The latest fast food phenomenon from Burger King may be combating America’s latest health-food kick, as consumers may find this cheesy concoction hard to pass up.
According to a report from The Washington Post, Burger King will launch its latest creation on Mon., June 27, to help consumers solve the issue of eating the American favorite – mac n’ cheese – on-the-go. Burger King’s new Mac ‘n Cheetos offer a tasty and convenient solution by turning mac n’ cheese into a finger food. These new deep fried sticks of macaroni and cheese, encrusted in a Cheetos-flavored shell, offer a delicious, cheesy mas-up that some are saying may be the best food mash-up since the Doritos Locos Taco, which was introduced by Taco Bell in 2012.
The Washington Post reported that Burger King will launch the new Mac n’ Cheetos on June 27, in select locations. This new creation expands in the mozzarella stick concept, but improves the recipe by adding gooey mac ‘n’ cheese and a Cheetos powder crust. The new item will be sold for $2.49 and have 310 calories. The Mac n’ Cheetos will be served with ranch dressing on the side.
The new Mac n’ Cheetos concept may seem be in stark contrast with the current health food trend that is sweeping the U.S., but this concoction is an example of how fast food mash-ups make indulging seem worth it.
