Chester’s invites fried chicken lovers to celebrate National Fried Chicken Day at their local Chester’s.
July 6 is National Fried Chicken Day, and while every day is Fried Chicken Day at Chester’s, the brand is encouraging Americans to participate in the national celebration and celebrate this patriotic dish with the famous Chester’s family recipe.
However you like your fried chicken – whether drumsticks, white meat or snackable tenders, lightly seasoned or dunked in sauce – Chester’s has you covered.
According to Flavor & The Menu, a restaurant industry publication, fried chicken is one of the top 10 trends for menu items for 2016. While many people still prefer the traditional Southern-style fried chicken with its subtle, peppery breading and big crunch, every cuisine in our great American melting pot has its own spin on fried chicken. It’s truly a patriotic dish for a patriotic time of year, and in light of that fact, July 6th has been designated as the annual National Fried Chicken Day.
Chester’s has perfected a family recipe handed down from generation to generation.
Brian Simmons, director of operations for Chester’s International explains, “We marinate the chicken and then do a double coating of breading by hand with our special batter dip. These layers seal in the chicken’s moisture, while that second coating of breading gets extra crispy on the outside. It explains why our fried chicken has a fan base.”
Whether you’re celebrating in town or on vacation, stop by your local Chester’s location on July 6th for a to-go box of chicken. “I recommend getting the mac and cheese on the side,” said Simmons, “but you can save that for National Macaroni and Cheese Day (July 14) too.”
