More breakfast favorites to join McDonald’s all-day breakfast offering.
McDonald’s has announced that, this fall, the company will be adding new items to its all-day breakfast menu.
According to a report from Fortune, the launch of McDonald’s all-day breakfast was met with an increase in visits, and the chain is hoping to continue increasing traffic by expanding the successful menu. The expansion of the menu is slated to take place in September, and it is expected to include the addition of McGriddles, hotcakes, sausage burritos, oatmeal and hashbrowns.
In October 2015, McDonald’s launched the all-day breakfast promotion as a part of a turnaround effort, and data from The NPD Group has revealed that the promotion was successful in increasing traffic, especially during lunch, and revealed an increase in average check size. Fortune reported that McDonald’s, which had been in a defensive position as competition was upping the ante with new healthy food options, has found stronger footing in recent months, with stock jumping 18% since the launch of all-day breakfast.
