Partners with the City of Savannah to host inaugural Pokemon Go + Keep Savannah Clean Event.
Parker’s, headquartered in Savannah, Ga., and the City of Savannah have joined forces for the inaugural Parker’s Pokemon Go + Keep Savannah Clean Event, set for Aug. 20.
While playing Pokemon Go, attendees will break up into groups and pick up trash in Forsyth Park and head north along Whitaker and Abercorn Street, ending up on River Street. The top three participants with the most trash by weight will win Parker’s Cash Cards. Attendees will be provided with free trash bags and latex gloves. This event is free and open to the public.
The concept behind this event, which is organized by Parker’s, is to use Pokemon Go for the betterment of the community and to come together to reduce litter on Savannah’s streets. This event is the first in an ongoing series of community-oriented trash pickup events.
