Over 5,000 meals have been provided to flood victims by KKC team members in Louisiana.
Last week, devastating floods were caused by continuous rainfall throughout Louisiana. Over 100,000 homes were flooded in multiple parishes throughout the state. In response to this devastation, Krispy Krunchy Chicken (KKC) organized community efforts to feed those affected by the flooding.
East Baton Rouge, Livingston, Ascension, East Feliciana, Iberville, Pointe Coupee, St. Helena, West Baton Rouge and West Feliciana, La. were all hit with severe flooding. In Livingston Parish, La. specifically, over 80% of the homes were flooded and more than 70,000 people affected.
Despite all obstacles, the KKC team stepped up and worked around the clock to provide a hot meal to thousands of Louisianans. In total over 5,000 meals were handed out in multiple areas in Livingston and Ascension Parish, La. This week, the Krispy Krunchy team will be in Acadia and Lafayette Parishes serving those affected in southeast Louisiana.
