Tri-Con. Inc. has started its push toward larger convenience stores.

A new Exxon Exxpress Mart is in the works at 1-10 Washington Boulevard in Beaumont, Texas.

According to a new report from Beaumont Enterprise, the location of the recently demolished Exxpress Mart across from the Golden Corral on Washington Blvd. will soon be home to a new, updated convenience store, but it is not likely that this new store will look much like its predecessor.

While the 12 fuel pumps that accompany the new convenience store may be typical, Beaumont Enterprise reported that Tri-Con. Inc., owner of Exxpress Mart convenience stores, is building the new 5,000-square-foot Exxpress Mart as a part of a push toward larger c-stores. The new store will feature a Subway restaurant and more food options, including fresh and healthy options.

The company has also announced plans to open two more stores by 2017, Beaumont Enterprise reported.
