Land Mark’s artisan pizza program has helped to earn the company the “Supplier of the Year” award.
On Aug. 30, 2016, Kum & Go presented Land Mark Products with the prestigious “Supplier of the Year” award. Land Mark is an Iowa food manufacturer and distributor, and the award was presented at Kum & Go’s chain’s annual meeting.
Kum & Go is regarded as one of the nation’s premier convenience store brands with more than 400 locations in 11 states. Kum & Go is recognized as an innovator in providing exceptional food service, elevating the industry’s standards of food quality and variety.
Land Mark was chosen, in part, for its performance in developing an artisan pizza program that encompassed menu development, extensive customer research and employee training.
Land Mark Products President Jason Farrell stated, “We’re proud of our history in developing pizza programs. But serving great pizza is not easy. There are so many factors that have to come together to do the job right. Yes, we worked hard and no one is prouder than Land Mark to receive this award. But credit has to go back to Kum & Go as they’re willing to do the hard work to achieve excellence. We met their challenge.”
Land Mark Products Vice President of Marketing, Dana Evaro, explained, “The best convenience stores are also in the restaurant business. Customers want the same quality of food at convenience stores as they receive from traditional restaurants. Kum & Go has always provided outstanding pizza but last year, they expressed that they wanted to offer their customers an artisan menu that would really establish their brand as a go-to pizza place. Today, that program is really doing great, sales wise and most importantly, through happy customers!”
Though primarily a food manufacturer, Land Mark Products also works closely with its customers in the areas of customer research, product development and marketing. It’s this holistic approach to food production that has earned Land Mark Products the title of “Top Pizza Manufacturer” in the Convenience Distribution Association’s recent InfoMetrics study.
