More than 100 RaceTrac locations to offer E15.
RaceTrac is adding E15 fuel at more than 100 stores throughout the South, including in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana and Texas.
E15 fuel is a higher octane fuel that is a combination of 15% ethanol and 85% gasoline. Consumers may find advantages to using E15 fuel, including improved vehicle performance due to ethanol burning cleaner and cooler in engines, and potentially lower prices at the pump.
In 2011, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) approved E15 for use in vehicles built after 2001.*
“RaceTrac’s mission is to make people’s lives simpler and more enjoyable and offering a variety of fuel types to appeal to our guests’ needs is one of the ways we deliver on that mission,” said Max McBrayer, chief supply officer at RaceTrac, which is headquartered in Atlanta and has more than 400 locations. “With the debut of E15 in more than 100 of our stores, RaceTrac is proud to provide our guests a competitively priced alternative fuel option to complement our already diverse offering which today includes other alternative fuel products such as E85 flex-fuel.”
*All vehicle owners should check their owners’ manual prior to using any fuel.
