Donates to the Special Olympics of West Virginia during convenience store grand opening event.
Sheetz Inc. has opened a new location in Charleston, W.Va, marking the second location to the Kanawha County surrounding area.
The new location opened its doors on Thursday, Oct. 20, and is located at 104 Lakeview Drive.
Sheetz continues its growth in the state of West Virginia with 54 operating stores, one of which being the very first Sheetz Café style convenience restaurant.
A grand opening celebration took place at 10:45 a.m. on Oct. 20, with the signature ribbon-cutting ceremony, where locals along with Sheetz family member, Charlie Sheetz, witnessed the last time the doors would be unlocked as the store will remain open 24/7, year round. During this festive celebration, Sheetz offered samples from its extensive menu, free self-serve Sheetz coffee for a limited time and prize giveaways while supplies last.
The new store offers award winning made-to-order (MTO) menu items from unique touchscreen terminals, inside seating, a drive-through for on-the-go convenience and a car wash. This location will also provide over 30 full- and part-time job opportunities.
In true philanthropic spirit, Sheetz will donate $2,500 to Special Olympics West Virginia during the grand opening event. As a proud supporter of Special Olympics for over 20 years, Sheetz extends its support through monetary and in-kind contributions, as well as, event volunteerism.
