OnCue supports electric vehicle adoption in Oklahoma.
Electric vehicle drivers now have a new location where they can quickly and conveniently charge their electric vehicle (EV), thanks to OG&E and OnCue.
The two companies have partnered on a pilot installation of a level 3, DC fast charging station at the Yukon, Okla. OnCue, located at 1000 North Czech Hall Rd.
“We are excited about partnering with OG&E to install OnCue’s first EV charger,” said Laura Aufleger, OnCue. “Collaboration and strategic partnerships like this enable Oklahomans the opportunity to embrace alternative fuels. Adding EV charging to Yukon grows our portfolio of domestically produced alternative fuels and further allows Oklahomans to use their fuel of choice.”
OG&E Vice President of Sales & Marketing Ken Grant said this installation is important for many reasons, besides the obvious usefulness of an EV fast-charging station at a great location for EV drivers.
“This partnership is symbolic of our commitment to facilitating the adoption of EVs across and even beyond our service area,” said Grant. “When it comes to electric vehicle technology, OG&E is proud to have more than 20 years invested in EV exploration and engineering expertise, and to bolster our strong record of environmental stewardship.”
The charging station is located on the south side of the store across from the dog park. During the pilot period, charging will be complimentary to customers. Basic data including time of day, length of use and how much energy is consumed, will be collected during the pilot and will assist in evaluating and improving future EV infrastructure development.
