NASM Re-Elects Amsden as Board Chairperson

By CSD Staff | January 24, 2017

Valerie Kelley Amsden has served on the NASM board since 2012.

The National Association of Shell Marketers (NASM) has announced the re-election of Valerie Kelley Amsden of Kelley Fuels, Shakopee, Minn., as its chairperson for 2017.

Amsden is only the second person to serve two terms as board chair in the history of NASM. She also carries on a long family tradition of service to NASM and other industry associations, following in the footsteps of her father, former NASM Chairman Vern Kelley.

Amsden has worked full time in the family business, Kelley Fuels, since 2006. Starting as office manager, she is currently CFO and manages the Shell brand for all Kelley Fuels dealer locations. Amsden has served on the NASM board since 2012, and previously served on the Hamline University CLA Alumni Association board. She has a Bachelor’s degree in management and economics, and a Master’s degree in business administration from the Hamline University School of Business. Amsden and her husband, Doug, live in Burnsville, Minn., and have three children.

Amsden and the 2016/2017 vice chairperson, Stacey Fineburg from Consumers Petroleum Corp. in Trenton, N.J., have both worked tirelessly for NASM members during 2016 and continue their work into 2017. Between monthly calls with Shell personnel, periodic calls and emails to members, weekly calls with NASM staff and counsel, and their dedication to pinpointing and helping solve issues common among marketers, they have proven themselves to be invaluable champions of Shell marketers everywhere…and all while running their own company operations! NASM is deeply grateful to both of these strong and talented women, and to all of its volunteers.

Other members of NASM’s 2017 Board include:

EX-OFFICIO PAST CHAIRMAN: Joe Balestreri, Southern Counties Oil Co., Rancho Cordova, Calif.

VICE CHAIRPERSON: Stacey Fineburg, Consumers Petroleum Corp., Trenton, N.J.

TREASURER: Monty Behrane, DAG Petroleum Suppliers, LLC, Springfield, Va.

NASM thanked all who will serve this year and to all who served in 2016.
