The York, Pa. convenience store chain aims to add beer to as many of its c-store locations as possible.
The Rutter’s at the corner of the Susquehanna Trail and Lightner Road in York, Pa. introduced beer sales on May 24, following a remodel to add a beer cave.
Rutter’s Beer Caves are set to 29 degrees, including inside the cooler doors. This is the ideal beer drinking temperature. Customers can expect the Beer Caves to be stocked with a wide assortment of craft, domestic, and imported beers and ciders. Rutter’s will also have a variety of seasonal options for their customers to enjoy, which is currently an excellent summer selection. Rutter’s customers can stop in and purchase beer between the hours of 7 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Monday thru Saturday and between 9 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Sundays, which is in compliance with Pennsylvania Law.
“Just like we have said before, we want to be able to get beer in as many stores as we can. We definitely want to have a variety of store locations on top of the variety of brands of beer for our customers. We want to live up to the name of a Convenience Store. This location at the corner of the Susquehanna Trail and Lightner Road in York is a high trafficked store for both regulars and truckers. It was a no brainer to think to remodel this location for beer,” said Robert Perkins, vice president of marketing.
