Richardson to manage site selection and acquisitions as vice president of real estate and development.

Parker’s has hired convenience store industry veteran Nathan Richardson as the company’s new vice president of real estate and development. Richardson brings more than 13 years of c-store real estate acquisition and development experience to his position at Parker’s.

In his new role, Richardson is responsible for site selection and acquisition for new Parker’s stores, the strategic plan for locations in all markets and overall real estate management. He will plan an integral role in the company’s expansion in 2018 and beyond.

Before joining Parker’s, Richardson served as the vice president of real estate for Bucky’s Convenience Stores in Houston, Texas, where he identified locations for new convenience stores, established a long-term market strategy, negotiated contracts for 22 new stores and collaborated with government agencies for required permits.

Richardson previously worked as the real estate manager for QuikTrip, where he identified sites for new convenience stores, acquired new properties, negotiated contracts and managed the development process for more than 70 new stores.

“Nathan is an important addition to our leadership team at Parker’s, offering more than a decade of hands-on experience with the convenience store industry’s real estate acquisition and development process,” said Parker’s president and CEO Greg Parker. “He will help raise our company’s profile in existing markets and expand into new markets, allowing us to serve more customers than ever in 2018 and beyond. His knowledge, expertise and insight in the real estate development field will be critical as we continue our corporate growth strategy.”

Originally from Columbus, Ga., Richardson attended The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. and Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Ga. He recently relocated to Savannah, Ga. from Houston, Texas.

Parker’s is in the middle of a five-year plan to exceed $1 billion in annual sales and is consistently trending ahead of goals. The company currently has three stores under construction and 30 sites in process in Georgia and South Carolina.

Parker’s operates 51 convenience stores across Georgia and South Carolina and employs nearly 1,000 individuals throughout the region.
