Introduces 51st convenience store to the community.
Parker’s Convenience Stores has donated $1,500 to Tattnall County Schools as part of the company’s Fueling the Community charitable initiative, which donates a portion of all gas sold on the first Wednesday of each month to area schools.
During a special ribbon cutting event at the company’s 51st store, located in the heart of Glennville at the intersection of Hwy. 144 and Hwy. 301, Parker’s president and CEO Greg Parker presented a check to Dr. Gina Williams, superintendent of Schools for Tattnall County. School board representatives, community leaders and patrons of the Parker’s brand were also on hand to celebrate the store’s official ribbon cutting and the first installment of the Parker’s Fueling the Community initiative in Glennville.
“At Parker’s, our commitment to education is the heart and soul of our Fueling the Community program,” said Parker’s president and CEO Greg Parker. “By making an investment in education, we’re providing a catalyst for economic development, job creation and opportunities for youth in our communities.”
Parker explained that this particular Fueling the Community donation is extra special because he grew up in Tattnall County.
“My family actually lived a few hundred yards away from where we’re standing today,” he explained. “This is a defining moment for me personally, but also for the Parker’s brand.”
