Combines daylight harvesting, scheduling, personal control and HVAC integration to create an attractive, energy efficient work environment.
Energy Management Collaborative (EMC) doubled its facility size when it relocated its headquarters at 2890 Vicksburg Lane N in Plymouth, Minn.
The 42,000-square-foot office space also serves as a showcase for the energy efficient LED lighting, controls and IoT technologies that are the company’s business.
Sustainability and energy savings are at the heart of EMC’s new headquarters. Designed with the same best-in-class approach it uses with its customers, the facility includes a variety of different branded systems and products and combines daylight harvesting, scheduling, personal control and HVAC integration to create an attractive, energy efficient work environment.
“At EMC, we are living our mission in this new office space,” said Heckes. “We have a lighting showcase for customers to preview various types of lighting and controls, demonstrating what is possible.”
Lighting and controls at the headquarters will continually change as new technologies become available. Visiting customers will not only be able to see the technology in use, but EMC employees will also be able to tell them what it is like to personally experience them in their day-to-day work environment.
