Frontier Building begins construction on the new c-store, which is set to open in January.

Wawa has partnered with Frontier Building, which has just broken ground on one of Miami-Dade County’s first Wawa gas station and convenience stores.

The project, located on Coral Way near Southwest 72nd Avenue in Miami, is the fifth Wawa Frontier Building has worked on for the national brand. The experience-focused building firm has completed four additional Wawa gas stations and convenience stores for the well-recognized brand throughout Florida and Maryland.

“Building out one of Miami-Dade County’s first Wawa is a proud moment for us,” said Andrew Goggin, director of construction at Frontier Building. “Wawa is an impressive national brand with a strong presence in the Northeast and we’re excited to have been given the opportunity to build one in our backyard.”

Structural work and underground utilities have begun at the 6,119-square-foot project site this month. The project is set to be completed January 2019.
