Donates five cents with every private-label bottled water purchase to Partnership for a Healthier America.
Maverik, with more than 300 convenience stores across 11 western states, raised more than $27,000 to support the mission of Partnership for a Healthier America (PHA).
During a six-week period throughout June and July, Maverik donated five cents from every purchase of private-label bottled water to PHA to support its Drink Up campaign, which encourages people to drink more water more often.
“We are proud to partner with Maverik to not only increase the accessibility of healthier options, but to also promote water as the beverage of choice,” said Nancy Roman, president and CEO of PHA. ”Their ongoing commitment helps create a healthier future for our nation’s children and young adults.”
Maverik teamed up with PHA in May 2018 in a commitment to promote healthier options, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, healthier packaged food products and made-to-order options. Through its commitment with PHA, the company became the first convenience store partner to expand its healthier beverages in both the cooler case and at the fountain machine.
“Maverik is excited that our customers’ supported the Drink Up campaign by buying Glacier Rain water to fuel their summer adventures. We love our partnership with PHA to help our customers lead healthy, adventurous lives,” said Aaron Simpson, vice president of merchandising at Maverik.
