For ninth consecutive year, Tyson Foods partners with NACS to fight hunger.
Tyson Foods Inc. and the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) are donating a truckload of protein to Three Square Food Bank to help fight hunger in Las Vegas during the NACS Show. The donation is planned for 11 a.m. on Wednesday Oct. 10.
Tyson Foods and NACS partner annually to donate protein in advance of the NACS Show (Oct. 7-10 in Las Vegas), one of the largest tradeshows in the country. Since 2000, Tyson Foods has donated more than 100 million pounds of protein.
The 35,000 pounds of protein will be distributed through Three Square’s network of 1,600 community partners, providing daily meals and food pantry services to individuals and families at risk of hunger.
Protein is always in demand across Three Square’s network of community partners. The donation is equivalent to 140,000 servings. Three Square distributed more than 37 million meals last year.
