Holmes Oil’s Cruizers Convenience Stores hold fundraising campaign to benefit Chapel Hill Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Holmes Oil Co. is donating over $15,000 to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center.
The money was raised inside the company’s Cruizer’s convenience stores by store employees.
Cruizer’s held the fundraising campaign from Aug. 2 to Sept. 2. This donation more than quadrupled the amount of money donated last year and establishes a new standard for Cruizers Convenience Stores.
“We are committed to being good citizens and want to give back to the communities that we operate in,” said Edward Holmes, president of Holmes Oil Co. “Cancer is a disease that can touch every life regardless of race, gender, or economic status. I challenged our store employees and they stepped up in a huge way. We believe that the money they raised will go a long way to benefit our local community,” said Mike Wilson, Holmes Oil Co. director of operations.
The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center is a cancer research and treatment center at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. UNC Lineberger’s clinical base is the N.C.
