Holiday Valley golf tournament helps NOCO raise funds for Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northtowns.
NOCO has donated $6,500 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northtowns.
The funds were raised by employees and vendors who participated in NOCO Express’ annual golf tournament held over the summer at Holiday Valley.
“NOCO has been a longtime supporter of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northtowns helping to inspire our hometown youth,” said Jim DeFilippis, vice president and general manager, NOCO Express. “Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our golfers, this donation will support ongoing afterschool programming for more than 5,000 youth throughout the Tonawandas served by the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northtowns.”
Throughout the company’s 85-year history, NOCO and the Newman family have been actively involved with the Boys & Girls Clubs. Reginald Newman, the founder of then R.B. Newman Fuel Corp. (now NOCO), was among the founding fathers of the Tonawanda Boys and Girls Club. Today, the Tonawanda facility of the Boys & Girls Clubs at 325 Franklin St. is named Newman Family Clubhouse. NOCO operates 39 convenience stores throughout the region.
