Krispy Krunchy Chicken’s Emergency Relief Kitchen arrives in Florida to aid those impacted by Hurricane Michael.
Krispy Krunchy Chicken is doing its part to help Florida residents in the aftermath of Hurricane Michael.
A fast-growing hot foodservice concept in convenience stores, Krispy Krunchy Chicken donated more than 10,000 Krispy Krunchy Chicken meals and sides to all residents and first responders in the small towns and areas hit hardest by Hurricane Michael in Florida.
The Krispy Krunchy Chicken Emergency Relief Kitchen rolled into the Florida panhandle and served up FREE, hot Krispy Krunchy Chicken meals to people in need. On Thursday, they were at Waller Elementary School Youngstown, Fla.; on Friday at Parker Elementary in Parker, Fla.; and Saturday at the Walmart in Lynn Haven, Fla.
Krispy Krunchy Chicken wants to extend a huge thank you to Florida Senator George Gainer; Andrea Gainey, legislative aide to Senator Gainer; Former Congressman Steve Sutherland, Megan Harrison, president & CEO of the Walton Area Chamber of Commerce; Jamey Price, founder of Grayton Beer Co.; the Lake City Sheriff’s Office, and the Florida National Guard for all their coordination efforts and the countless others who contributed in many other ways.
“I was deeply moved by the spirit and determination expressed by so many Floridians this weekend,” said Krispy Krunchy Chicken Founder and President Neal Onebane, “we came to Florida to lift spirits and instead found ourselves being lifted up by the positive and can-do spirit of those we met who have lost everything. Our hearts are filled with affection today for those we fed, and are filled with pride and gratitude to those many volunteers who stood by our side to serve these free meals to those in need.”
Krispy Krunchy Chicken was recognized by Thrillist, an online restaurant and food review media company, as “America’s Best Fried Chicken You’ve Never Heard Of” in 2017. This quick-service food concept currently has more than 2,400 locations located across 46 states, American Samoa and Mexico.
