Carpenter, formerly with Nice N Easy and Circle K, to serve as director of education and training.
Cliff’s Local Market has welcomed Jeff Carpenter, formerly of Nice N Easy/Circle K, to the team as director of education and training.
Carpenter is a seasoned c-store leader. Upon graduation from high school in 2005, Carpenter joined the Nice N Easy team as a store associate. He continued to work while earning his Bachelor’s in biology and master’s in 7-12 adolescent education at Syracuse University.
Carpenter went on to teach public school while still working with Nice N Easy, but after two years found his niche as director of education and training with the well-known c-store brand.
During Carpenter’s time at Nice N Easy he grew into the role of senior director of program development overseeing human resources and training. Nice N Easy was acquired by CST Brands in 2014 and Carpenter continued a similar role with the training and development team. When CST was acquired in 2017, he sustained his employment as training manager in the Great Lakes Business Unit of Circle K.
Recently an opportunity to remain local with Cliff’s Local Market presented itself; Carpenter was honored to accept the position. Carpenter grew up with his parents owning two convenience stores. He met his wife, Emily, working together at Nice N Easy and she also works locally in education. Carpenter’s strong local roots provide the perfect fit at Cliff’s.
Clifford Fuel Co. Inc. is proud to welcome Carpenter to the team. Cliff’s Local Market is a local chain of 19 convenience stores located in the Central New York area. The chain is owned and operated by Clifford Fuel Co. Inc., founded in 1961.
