The store offers upscale amenities as well as traditional grocery items.
Amazon-owned Whole Foods Market opened a convenience store in New York called “Whole Foods Market Daily Shop.”
The store, located in N.Y.C. neighborhood Chelsea, features self-checkout kiosks, an acai bowl station and kombucha on tap, according to Eater New York.
There’s a focus on local products, as well grab-and-go items like bagels, pastries and sandwiches, Eater reports. A separate coffee bar within the store is run by Denver-based Allegro Coffee, and there’s some seating available for in-store dining.
Whole Foods Market Daily Shop also offers some traditional grocery items, including produce and toiletries.
Meanwhile, Amazon reportedly plans to launch a new chain of grocery stores that would differ from the company’s Whole Foods and Amazon Go stores.
