Food Logistics Magazine has selected Fleet Advantage as a Top Green Provider for 2019, which recognizes the company as a leader in the sustainable food supply chain for the impact its ATLAAS (Advanced Truck Lifecycle Administrative Analytics Software) platform has on truck asset management while improving fuel efficiency and reducing fleet emissions.
Fleet Advantage serves companies within the food and beverage distribution industry and provides a turn-key asset management solution for their transportation fleets.
The solution encompasses many facets of sustainability including optimizing vehicle specification (to be more fuel efficient and aligned to their duty cycle and geographic locale), specifying lighter components and allowing for longer maintenance intervals (also reducing environmental hazmat disposal) and disposing of pre-owned equipment to a secondary market providing more fuel-efficient vehicles.
Additionally, by continually monitoring truck performance including fuel economy, ATLAAS identifies the TIPPINGPOINT, the point in each truck’s lifecycle where operating the older truck costs more than upgrading to a new, more fuel-efficient model. Implementing an asset management strategy based on shorter vehicle lifecycles conserves fuel, reduces emissions, lowers maintenance costs and provides a cleaner environment and an economically sustainable model for the company.
Data collected from the Fleet Advantage Emissions Scorecard tool shows that by upgrading to a 2020 MY truck from a 2015 MY, CO2 and NOx are reduced by 12%. Fleet Advantage has saved its customers approximately 125,000 metric tons in emissions since inception, further contributing to the company’s sustainability efforts.
“We are honored to have been recognized by Food Logistics Magazine for our leadership in the food supply chain industry once again,” said Fleet Advantage COO and CTO Jim Griffin. “By providing fleet executives with better visibility, we can provide the highest quality of data and service to fleets across the country. Our clients see a significant and measurable improvement in performance almost immediately, impacting their bottom line on both an economic and environmental level.”
