As the need for healthy snacks grows, V8 beverages from Campbell’s Foodservice meet the demand for on-the-go snacking across dayparts.
Snacking continues to expand in both definition and daypart, with 71% of consumers defining a snack as “any item” and 46% of the U.S. population snacking at least three times per day, according to the 2016 Technomic Consumer Trend Report.
As 57% of consumers say portability is important for snacks, according to the report, V8 beverages can meet the demand for functional, nutritious snacks throughout the day.
Each of the V8 beverages contain at least half a serving of vegetables, with no added sugar and no artificial colors or preservatives. Operators can place them in refrigerated beverage coolers or alternate shelf-stable locations, such as prepacked grab-and-go bundles and impulse areas near a cash register.
“We’re partnering with operators to revitalize beverage programs and drive incremental sales with V8 as we look to satisfy everyone at different need states,” said Campbell’s Foodservice Director of Marketing Melissa Price. “Because of the versatility of the V8 portfolio, there are choices for guests with different nutritional priorities and flavor preferences. No matter which V8 drink guests select, they’re choosing vegetable goodness while satisfying their craving for a snack to power them through the day.”
Founded in 1865, Campbell’s Foodservice has more than 500 soups, beverages, broths, sauces and entrées from trusted brands, like Campbell’s, V8, Pepperidge Farm, Prego, Pace and Swanson.
