Casey’s General Stores has plans for a new store prototype in Belton, Mo., according to the Kansas City Star.
Casey’s new, 6,000-square-foot location will feature a full-service kitchen, expanded menu and more seating.
Casey’s vice president of marketing and advertising Megan Elfers said several considerations went into choosing Belton, Mo., as a location for the new concept.
“As much as possible, Casey’s looks at what the community needs, the amount of space we are able to secure for a site, as well as sales and operational considerations to inform store format,” she said.
Construction on the new location is set to begin spring of 2020.
Casey’s operates 2,100 convenience stores in 16 states throughout the Midwest. Casey’s is currently the fourth-largest convenience store chain, and the fifth-largest pizza chain, in the U.S.
