Kum & Go has appointed Kate Gibson Overby as Vice President of Marketing Communications.
Gibson Overby, who will lead brand and digital strategy for the company, is an entrepreneurial marketer with over two decades of brand marketing and communications experience.

She is the right person to steward Kum & Go through our next wave of ambitious growth,” said Kum & Go President Tanner Krause. “As a Des Moines native with a love for the brand, we are thrilled to welcome her home to lead our marketing and communications team in their continued development.
Gibson Overby joins Kum & Go from The Coca-Cola Company, where she was brand and consumer communications leader.
Previously, she was Director of Brand Marketing at Major League Baseball, where she launched integrated marketing campaigns that leveraged new and traditional media, including industry-leading digital and cause marketing programs. Before MLB, she worked at Nike on global initiatives that united digital brand marketing and corporate social responsibility.

Gibson Overby earned her bachelor’s degree from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and graduate diploma from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS), in Bologna, Italy. She taught English in Pachuca, Mexico, and was a Rotary International Cultural Ambassadorial Scholar based in Quito, Ecuador.
Established in Hampton, Iowa, in 1959, Kim & Go has since grown to employ 5,000 associates in nearly 400 stores in 11 states: Iowa, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Wyoming.
