Volta Oil partnered with the the Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research for the ninth consecutive year as part of the Purple Pump Up for Alzheimer’s cause marketing campaign.
Volta Oil’s sixteen Rapid Refill locations throughout Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island, and its newest store, Garrett’s Family Market in Milford, Mass., all participated.
This year’s campaign raised over $147,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter.
The campaign, which ran from June 1 through July 21, gave patrons at the 17 participating locations the option to make donations to the Alzheimer’s Association at the gas pump or in stores.
On June 21, five cents of every gallon of gas sold was donated to the cause.
“Our associates do an amazing job not only raising funds during the Purple Pump Up Campaign, but also getting the message out about a world without Alzheimer’s,” said Jim Garrett, Chairman of Volta Oil Company.
Purple Pump Up for Alzheimer’s is the largest cause marketing campaign of its kind in the New England Region to benefit the Association. Since the campaign started nine years ago, it has raised over $760,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association’s Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter.
“The dedicated employees of Volta Oil have had another incredibly successful Purple Pump Up for Alzheimer’s campaign, raising critical funds to support research, care and support programs right here in Massachusetts and New Hampshire,” said Jim Wessler, CEO of the Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter. “Volta Oil and their customers should be proud of the fact that they are making a difference in the lives of those living with Alzheimer’s disease and their families.”
Sponsors of the 2019 Purple Pump Up for Alzheimer’s campaign included Core-Mark New England, New England Ice Cream, Vitamin 1 Hydration Drink, Global Partners LP and Webster Bank.
“I am not only truly thankful for all the effort our personnel have put into the campaign, but also grateful for the support our dedicated sponsors give the Purple Pump Up event year after year,” said Garrett.
