Thorntons is pleased to announce the opening of our newest store located at 1600 North Rand Road in Prospect Heights, IL. The store opened its doors Thursday evening, Oct. 10, with a grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting event on Friday, Oct. 11. The location is the company’s 75th store in the state of Illinois and second opening in the last two weeks.

The Prospect Heights site is a 4,400 square foot facility on 1.48 acres and offers a wide variety of amenities, including 24 auto fueling positions and LED lighting for guest safety and energy efficiency. Thorntons also features top of the line beverages, fresh food prepared daily, including burritos, sandwiches and donuts.

“We are excited to open our newest store here in Prospect Heights,” said Simon Richards, president and chief executive officer of Thorntons. “We are proud to be part of this community and look forward to building a strong relationship with our new neighbors in Cook County.”

Richards presented a donation to the Greater Chicago Food Depository. The Mayor of Prospect Heights, Nicholas Helmer, also spoke.
