Casey’s General Stores has been recognized by the Women’s Forum of New York at its Breakfast of Corporate Champions for Casey’s advancement of gender parity in the boardroom.
With a corporate board comprised of 55% women, Casey’s exceeds the national average for female-held board seats, which is currently 23.4%.
The biennial event brings together more than 600 thought leaders, including CEOs, Board Directors and government officials in support of one shared goal — achieving 50/50 gender parity in the boardroom by 2025.

Casey’s current Board of Directors includes five women who bring unmatched value and oversight to the growing convenience and pizza retailer:
- Diane Bridgewater, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial and Administrative Office of LCS
- Cara Heiden, Retired Co-President of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage
- Larree Renda, Retired Executive Vice President of Safeway Inc.
- Judy Schmeling, Former Chief Operations Officer of HSN Inc., and former President of Cornerstone Brands
- Allison Wing, Chief Consumer Officer of Bright Health

Casey’s joined 323 S&P 500/Fortune 1000 companies at the 2019 Breakfast of Corporate Champions. Roger W. Ferguson, Jr., President & CEO, TIAA and Maggie Wilderotter, former Executive Chair and CEO of Frontier Communications are Co-Chairs for this year’s event.
They were joined by leading CEOs and directors who spoke about why gender balance in the boardroom is a strategic business imperative and how to accelerate the path toward parity.
