Australian Association of Convenience Stores recognizes 7-Eleven with three awards.

7-Eleven received three industry awards at last week’s Australian Association of Convenience Stores gala dinner in Melbourne, Franchising.net reported.

7-Eleven was recognized as Major Retailer Head Office of the Year, Major Retail Franchise Store of the Year and also took the Peter Jowett Industry Award for the retailer category.

Franchisees from the Mickleham Road, Tullamarine outlet, Eddie and Nina Yakou, tied for the Retail Franchised Store of the Year award based on their “impeccable” store and customer service. Meanwhile, Lilian Mikhail, district manager at 7-Eleven, won the Peter Jowett Industry Award for the retailer category for her work in enhancing the customer experience and growing sales in the Australian convenience market.

Mikhail is now set to represent Australia at the Global Convenience Industry Achievement Awards at The NACS Show in Las Vegas, held Oct. 7-10.
