The collaboration makes it easier for NAPA Rewards Program and AAA members to properly discard unwanted automative batteries.

AAA and NAPA Auto Parts have joined forces so that, as part of the NAPA Rewards Program, AAA members can recycle their used, dead or unwanted automotive batteries at participating NAPA stores and receive $10 NAPA Rewards credit. This initiative leverages the extensive networks of both legacy brands, making it easier for members to dispose of their batteries sustainably.

“As NAPA celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, we are reminded how important it is to our business to bring convenient solutions to our customers,” said Jason Rainey, vice president of Auto Care, AAA and AutoTech training. “Partnering with AAA during Earth Month is the perfect opportunity to reach our customers with a meaningful and environmentally friendly initiative.”

This program ensures the safe and sustainable disposal of automotive batteries and aims to break down barriers to recycling by rewarding AAA and NAPA Rewards members for their responsible actions.

“After 28 years of collaborating with NAPA, we are excited to offer our members a safe and eco-friendly way to dispose of their automotive batteries,” said Jody Smith, director of Automotive Services. “Our goal is to encourage members to adopt sustainable practices in a simple and accessible manner.”

Steps To Participate:

  1. AAA members visit Recycling-Rewards.com to enter their information.
  2. Verified members will select the nearest participating NAPA Store.
  3. Battery drop-off and NAPA Reward Issued.

There are nearly 6,000 NAPA Auto Parts stores in the U.S. supported by a nationwide network of distribution centers and more than 560,000 available parts, accessories and supplies. The NAPA network extends to more than 17,000 NAPA AutoCare and AutoCare Collision Centers across the U.S.
