Anheuser-Busch’s 2007 Drivers License Guide given to convenience stores, supermarkets and bars to help spot fake I.D.’s.

A partnership between Schilling Distributing in Lafayette, La. and Anheuser-Busch is helping local bars and grocery stores keep up with changing photo I.D.’s from all 50 states.

More than 1,300 copies of a 2007 Drivers License Guide has been distributed to 350 convenience stores, bars, grocers or any site that sells alcohol throughout Lafayette.

Schilling Distributing, a local beer and alcohol distributor, gets the books from Anheuser-Busch.

“We do this to protect our industry,” Carl Hamilton, vice president of sales at Schilling, told The Daily (La.) Advertiser. “We are a responsible industry, and we have to protect the beer industry and curb underage drinking.”
